Download Clash
Clients and the Mihomo core
Choose your operating system, then download the installer for your processor architecture. For everyday use, choose a GUI client; for servers and routers, choose the standalone core.
Prepare your configuration before installing
The app and proxy service are separate
The client installer provides the software; proxy servers, credentials, proxy groups, and routing rules come from your configuration. Prepare a subscription or local file you are authorized to use, and check that the client supports its protocols and fields. Never paste subscription links into public screenshots, forums, or untrusted conversion services.
For your first launch, keep the configuration's existing rule mode. Check that the configuration loads and the right proxy is selected, then test access. The system proxy affects apps that follow that setting; TUN uses a virtual network interface and routing. Enable extra features only after deciding which traffic needs to be routed.
Keep a rollback point when updating or migrating
Before installing over an existing version, back up your subscription URL, local YAML, override snippets, and client settings. Record your ports, proxy mode, TUN, and DNS options. Also check whether the configuration is locally edited or generated by a remote subscription, so a future subscription update doesn't overwrite manual changes.
When switching clients, quit the old app first and confirm it has stopped changing the system proxy or routes. After importing your configuration into the new app, restore settings one by one rather than copying the entire data directory. See the getting started guide for installation steps and the subscriptions and configuration section for configuration fields.
Download and installation FAQs
First check package architecture and configuration source, then troubleshoot connection and permission issues.
Should I download a GUI client or the Mihomo core?
For everyday desktop and mobile use, choose a GUI client to import configurations, switch modes, and view logs. The standalone Mihomo core is better suited to server and router users who manage their own configuration, processes, and routing. Downloading the software does not include a proxy service.
How do I choose between x64, ARM64, and ARM?
On Windows, check System type in Settings > System > About. On macOS, check the chip or processor in About This Mac. On Android, check your device's processor architecture. Most recent Android phones use ARM64; older devices may use ARM. On Linux, run uname -m to check the architecture: x86_64 corresponds to AMD64, and aarch64 to ARM64.
Why do I need a subscription or YAML configuration after installing the client?
The client reads the configuration and handles connections; a subscription or YAML file supplies proxy servers, proxy groups, and routing rules. Import a configuration you are authorized to use, check the selected proxy group and mode, then enable the system proxy or the relevant traffic-routing feature. Subscription links may contain credentials and should not be shared publicly.
Are Clash for Windows and ClashX Meta still good choices for a fresh install?
Both clients are discontinued. Archived downloads are kept here for migration and reference by existing users. For a fresh install, choose a maintained client. Before migrating, export your configuration and note your ports, proxy mode, and DNS settings. Do not assume an older client supports every configuration field in current Mihomo releases.
Why might the Apple Silicon download for macOS be an x64 package?
In the current download list, both macOS architecture links for Clash Verge Rev, FlClash, and archived ClashX Meta point to the same x64 installer. Apple Silicon devices may need Rosetta to run these packages; check the app's compatibility prompts. For a native ARM64 package, choose Clash Plus, which explicitly offers one on this page.
What should I save before updating?
Back up your subscription URL, local YAML files, overrides, and client settings. Note your system proxy port and TUN and DNS options. Quit the old client before installing the update. After launching the new version, confirm the configuration loads and the right proxy is selected before restoring traffic routing. Avoid running two clients that both enable the system proxy or TUN.
